About the Endeavour

Jen Armistead created Yoga Endeavour to support others who are searching for a way to rediscover and reconnect to themselves and the world around them. Yoga has the power to transform your physical, mental, and emotional well-being to live a more balanced life, in harmony with yourself and others. Discover your purpose, ignite your passions, and be part of something bigger than yourself.

Yoga Endeavour is here to support you on this journey to the Self with offerings to foster your daily practice (sadhana) and self-study (svadhyaya), and build community (sangha). Jen’s teachings draw from the practices that continue to transform her life – Rocket Vinyasa and Dharma Yoga. Both styles offer a complete practice rooted in classical yoga philosophy for living our best lives both on and off the mat. They are practices for everyone.

We do the practice to love ourselves so we can learn to love others more.

about Jen

Jen is first and foremost a student of yoga. Through her dedicated personal practice, both on and off the mat, she strives to truly live yoga and be of service to others. Jen is a scientist, humanitarian, yoga practitioner and teacher. Initially drawn to yoga as part of her own healing journey, she struggled for years to find a practice that gave her the peace of mind and body that she was searching for. That eventually came in the form of Rocket Vinyasa, which offered the perfect balance between structure and freedom that she needed to develop a disciplined practice with space to play. Later, she turned to Dharma Yoga to go beyond the physical and also grow her spiritual practice, and more fully integrate yoga into all aspects of her life.

A scientist by profession, Jen approaches yoga much like an experiment and encourages others to do the same. Investigate the potential of your mind-body-spirit connection and you will never cease to be amazed by what you are capable of and what you can learn. Jen values autonomy over authority and strives to empower individuals to develop a compassionate, intuitive and exploratory yoga practice with the ultimate goal of Self discovery.

Jen embraces the roots of the sacred tradition of yoga, and honors all of the yogis who, from its origins in India and over time, have practiced and taught so that we can benefit today. She is grateful to her teachers, Abigail Aller, David Kyle, Sri Dharma Mittra, and Nathania Stambouli, and all those of the Ashtanga Vinyasa and Dharma Yoga lineages, past and present.

Jen is a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher through Yoga Alliance and holds certifications in Dharma Yoga (200 hours), Rocket Vinyasa (100 hours), Vinyasa Yoga (200 hours), and Yin Yoga (30 hours). She is also trained to teach trauma-informed yoga.
